Founder and President

Tricia Arcaro Turton

Coach Tricia is the granddaughter of Clara M Carlucci and founder/owner of Arcaro Boxing Gym.  She has been an elite level athlete her whole life and understands the financial, emotional and physical difficulties that come with being an amateur. From her days on the USA Rugby team to winning the 2004 USA Boxing Nationals, Coach Tricia had to depend on community support to reach her goals.  In the spirit of community service, and giving back, Coach Tricia envisioned the Clara M Carlucci Foundation to honor heritage and bolster community support for new generations of aspiring amateur boxers at Arcaro and the greater PNW.

Julie Elrod

Growing up on the West Coast, Julie welcomed the opportunity to head West to Seattle when she relocated from Denver in 2016. Having known Coach Tricia prior, Julie welcomed the opportunity to become more engaged in the community being built at Arcaro Boxing. Although she’s never taken a punch in the ring, Julie has spent over 25 years respectfully beating up vendors in the Technology space. She is looking forward to using skills honed in the Corporate world to help the Foundation grow in scope and support as many boxers and community members as possible.

Elise Garvey

A transplant from Western New York, Elise has found a home in the natural beauty of the Northwest and the supportive community at Arcaro Boxing. After a long time away from competitive sports, Elise trained and competed as an amateur boxer, became an official with USA Boxing, and obtained her Bronze Coaching Certification. These experiences gave her a deep appreciation for the time, effort, and costs needed to grow as an athlete and the importance of having people in your corner, which is why she believes in the work of the Foundation. Elise uses her day-job skills as an experienced analyst and program evaluator to help the Foundation achieve its mission.

Kelsey Lenz

Kelsey first walked into Arcaro Boxing in 2016, not long after relocating to Seattle from the Midwest. She soon discovered a love for boxing which led her to train and compete as an amateur boxer, and later to serve as a coach to others. Her experiences have shown her firsthand the incredible impact that a supportive community can have on an athlete’s development, both in and out of the ring. Inspired by the Foundation’s community-driven vision, Kelsey draws on the skills she’s developed in her corporate career to help the Foundation achieve its mission.
